There are 10 possible fixes:
1) Please check your UserId and Password again.
- To look up your UserId, click here.
- To reset your blackboard password, click here. It will send an email to your MetroMail.
- Blackboard, Metrolink and Metromail are seperate systems. Each system uses its own password. Change of password in one system does not affect password of another system. The only systems that share the same password are your Metromail and your computer login in the labs/Libraries.
2) Your blackboard account is not ready, yet.
-If you have never enrolled a class, your blackboard account will not be created.
-New students who got admitted and enrolled classes before the first day of the class, your blackboard account will be ready on the first scheduled day of the class. Please refer to your print schedule for the first date of your class. Click here to view the complete academic calendar.
-New students who got admitted and/or enrolled classes after the first scheduled day of the class, please wait for 24 hours for Blackboard to update the enrollment file.
3) Please use “Internet Explorer” or "Firefox" to access Blackboard.
Do not use Netscape, AOL Browser, SBC yahoo Browser or other browsers to access Blackboard.
4) If you use AOL, you will need to check out "AOL Warning".
5) Adjust "Browser Settings" for Blackboard, you can check out the instructions by clicking the following links:
<New>-Internet Explorer users: Click "Internet Explorer Browser Settings".
<New>-Firefox users: Click "Firefox Browser Settings".
6) Pop-up windows may be a problem, so please check out "Pop-up Windows"
7) If you bookmarked the second login page(where you enter your username and password) and use it to log in, you may need to login twice every time.
so, go to http://bboard.mcckc.edu and make the page as your Favorite.
8) If you are using computer at work place, try again with computers at home. Vice Versa.
Computers at your work place or home may have firewalls or higher security settings which prevent you from logging in Blackboard.
9) Your computer might have virus.
Blackboard server has antivirus applications which will automatically block accounts using infected computers to login. To clean up viruses, please visit the Protect your computer webpage.
10) Please try another computer at computer lab and see if you could login.
11) If none of the above suggestions solve the problem, please call Techline at 759-1212
